Report Zoning Violations
If you observe zoing violations in your neighborhood, such as cars parked on the grass, paved front lawns, too many unrelated
occupants in a home, etc., you can report them to Fairfax County using the form linked below.
Help keep our neighborhood safe by reporting violations.
Traffic Reports
We have completed our review of Marc Drive and Holly Hill Road with the following results:
- Holly Hill Road qualifies for the traffic-calming program based on an average 30 mph speed obtained. (See attached
chart.)
- Marc Drive, although meeting the speed criteria, exceeded the 4,000 vpd maximum threshold for the traffic-calming program.
What this means is that we have to transfer Marc Drive to the cut-thru program which requires that petitioning be completed
before the cut-through study is completed. This involves a labor intensive trip generation analysis to prove that at
least 40% of the volume obtained on Marc Drive is cut-thru traffic. Though not a promise, I would expect that Marc Drive
would qualify.
In light of the above, it is our intent to issue through the supervisor's office the petition forms and petition area map
within the next 60 days. In the meantime, we need you to complete the attached canvasser certification form and return
it to this office before petitions can be issued.
Attached is the canvasser certification form and results of our study.
Grass
It is illegal to park a vehicle on the front yard. . The vehicle can be parked on the front yard for up to
48 hours to allow residents to unload, work on the vehicle and/or clean it. If you would like to report a violation,
please contact Zoning at (703) 324-1300
If you have a neighbor whose grass is over 12 inches high, you can call Fairfax County at (703) 324-1950 and the county

Parking Regulations

10 feet to either side of driveway entrances, and no closer than 15 feet to a stop sign or fire hydrant. Call the Fairfax
County Police non-emergency number at 703-691-2131 for parking violations.
